OSU!
I'm pretty new to kyokushin, and while it looks like your forums aren't very active, I'm hoping to maybe meet some other people in our discipline to chat with. I think your dojo is still around? I also called and left a message because I am trying to get a hold of Mariette Buck, who many years ago authorized my sensei to teach. :}
About me- I'm Ev, and I have lived in the bay area for about 13 years. A few years ago I had a serious back injury, and I could not walk or sit in a chair for a while. I started working with horses two years ago, and have recently started my training in Kyokushin. I am loving it. My horsemanship mentor is a 4th degree in Aikido, and I hadn't realized that he was teaching me a bit of martial arts until I began my training in Kyokushin. Amazing how much horsemanship and martial arts have in common, at the core.
Anyway, I guess I'm just sending a message out into the ether, seeing if anyone else is there. I'm sensei's only student. I don't really have anyone other than him to talk to about Kyokushin.
